Electricity consumption for data centres is expected to surge in the upcoming decades, from about 500 TWh in 2025 to 2 300 TWh in 2050 in the EnerBlue scenario (NDCs and announced pledges). Asia-Pacific and North America are the key players, accounting for 45% and 35% of the consumption respectively in 2050.
